National MS Center Melsbroek
50 years of experience
In 1960, the first specialized center for the diagnosis, treatment and revalidation for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and related demyelinating disorders was founded. It was named ‘Nationaal Schiftings- en Re-adaptatiecentrum voor Multiple Sclerose vzw’. In 1996, the official denomination of the institution changed into ‘National Multiple Sclerosis Centre vzw’. Together with the many employees, the founders have succeeded in expanding the center so that today it is known both nationally and internationally as a centre of excellence for the care of people with MS. Initially it started with 20 in-patient beds; a number which has increased to the 134 hospital beds present now.
The center offers safe, leading, clinical and integrated care programs for people with MS and related disorders. The center wanted to position itself nationally and internationally as the reference for MS.
Strategy and approach
Lemento created the name National MS Center Melsbroek based on the mission statement. With this English name we want to accentuate the international character of the organization. We designed a colorful and dynamic logo that emphasizes the mission of the MS center. The ‘triangles’ symbolize the integral personalized care program, the multidisciplinary approach, the qualitative care in all phases of MS, the attention for the patient’s environment, and the 50 years of experience.
Besides the logo, Lemento also created stationary, office templates and the design for the website. To incorporate the style in the organization, we also developed corporate guidelines.
