AZ Monica is the result of a merger between the hospitals Apra Revalidatie, Eeuwfeestkliniek and OLV Middelares Deurne. The hospital has 477 beds on 2 campuses – Antwerp and Deurne – and employs over 1,300 people.
Expansion, and therefore cooperation, has been an international trend for some time now and has become a growing trend in the hospital sector as well. The scaling up should lead to working more efficiently and more cost-effectively. Clearly communicating this to the market requires a unified brand for the different campuses.
Strategy and approach
Lemento advises to introduce the name AZ Monica as the only name of this hospital that houses two campuses. The name Monica has already been in use behind the scenes for years, without the AZ (AZ= Academic Hospital). Following the corporate identity audit and the development of the brand architecture, Lemento creates a new logo and the corporate identity to go with it. The new site, using the Lemento content management system, is the first feat of the external launch.
