The Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp, Belgium is one of the world's leading institutes for research, training and services delivery in tropical medicine and health care in developing countries.

 

Assessment

The Institute of Tropical Medicine has an excellent reputation worldwide. But its visual identity gives the impression ITM is a stuffy organization where at some point time stood still.

 

Strategy and approach

Lemento offers a solution based on the generation thinking concept with a clear international focus. A very subtly styled logo to allow scalability.

Furthermore we replace the abbreviations ITG-IMT and the reference to Antwerpen (Antwerp) by the English description Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp. Those who already know the logo, won’t notice the change. Those who don’t know it yet, will immediately receive a clear message, without having to wonder about a bilingual Belgium.
